One to One Training

When it cannot be fixed in a class
One to one work for reactivity, recall and the problem behaviours you have stopped mentioning to people. Four sessions across eight weeks.
You cross the road when you see another dog coming.
You have got the timing of it down now. Spot them early, change direction, get the treats out, brace for the lunge. And when it happens anyway you apologise to a stranger while your dog screams on the end of the lead and everybody looks.

Or it is the recall. Perfect in the garden. Gone the moment there is anything more interesting than you, which is everything.

So you walk at half six in the morning and after dark, because that is when nobody else is out. You have stopped going to the places you used to go. You turn down the dog walk with friends. The world you and your dog live in has got smaller and smaller without you really deciding to let it.

And the part nobody talks about is the guilt. You love this dog. You can see they are not enjoying it either. And somewhere in the back of your mind is the worry that you have made it worse.

You have not. But you are not going to fix this in a group class with seven other dogs, and you probably already know that.

This is exactly what the one to one work is for. Just your dog. Your situation, your street, your triggers. We work out what is actually going on underneath the behaviour, and then we build a plan that fits your life rather than an ideal version of it.

The aim is not a dog who tolerates a walk. It is a walk you both look forward to again.

Who this is for

Reactivity, on the lead or off it, towards dogs, people or traffic. Recall that works at home and disappears in the park. Pulling that has left you with a sore shoulder and no enjoyment. Problem behaviours that have not shifted no matter what you have tried.
I am IMDT qualified and a Level 2 Reactivity Coach, so this is the specific thing I have trained for rather than a general trainer having a go at it. More to the point, I have been where you are. My own dog had a list of behavioural problems as a teenager and I spent a long time feeling like nothing was working.

What you get

Four sessions across eight weeks, so there is time to actually practise between them rather than rush from one to the next.

Video notes and a written plan after every session, so you are never stood in the park a fortnight later trying to remember what you were supposed to do.

Video analysis between sessions, so you get feedback on what is really happening rather than what you think is happening.

Unlimited WhatsApp support throughout, so when something goes wrong on a Tuesday you are not waiting until the next session to ask.

Access to the private training community, so you are doing this alongside people in the same boat instead of on your own.

My guarantee

Guaranteed improvement in your dog’s behaviour within sixty days.Follow the plan, do the practice between sessions, and your dog will improve. If they have not, I keep working with you until they do, at no extra cost. Your video notes and training plan are the record, so this is not a matter of opinion.

What I need from you

This works when you do the practice.
The session is where you learn what to do. The change happens at home, in the fortnight in between, in five minutes a day. I will support you the whole way, but I cannot do that part for you and I would rather say so now than pretend otherwise.

Questions people ask

I do not know yet, which is why the call is free. I will tell you honestly on that call whether I think I can help.
Tell me on the call. If it is beyond what I should be handling, I will say so and point you towards somebody qualified for it.
Then you have probably been given three sets of instructions and no plan. We start by working out what is actually driving it.
We talk about that on the call, once I know what you actually need. I am not going to quote you before I understand the situation.

Tell me what is going on

Book a call. Fifteen minutes, free, and no pressure. If I am not the right person, I will tell you who is.
